About the Author

Liz is a recent graduate from the University of Missouri now working as an Internet Manager for a TV station. After one of her journalism classes urged students to start “niche” blogs, she decided to create “Japanization,” a blog critiquing Japanese-US news and reviewing Japanese culture and trends.

Her manga review musings turned into a job as a contributor for mangalife.com in June 2010. She covered the Dallas A-Kon anime convention, Asian Film Festival of Dallas and also wrote a feature piece on what makes manga “manga” for the site.

While she is no expert, she is always learning more about Japan, and would love to visit one day.
